A MAN in his early 20s was injured after allegedly being hit by a van that mounted the pavement in Skipton.

Police say the man was on Keighley Road, at the end of Bold Venture Street, on Tuesday (May 21) between 7.25pm and 7.40pm when he was reportedly driven into by a white Ford Transit Connect van. The man suffered minor arm and back injuries.

"The van, which is believed to be a 17-reg, was travelling in the direction of Cross Hills from Skipton town centre," said a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police.

"We’re requesting the public’s assistance to see if anyone witnessed the incident and if anybody has dashcam footage of the van at or near the time of the incident."
