POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a horse rider suffered an injury when a vehicle allegedly passed too close on a road in Stirton, near Skipton.
The person was riding along White Hills Lane, close to Tarn House Caravan Park, at around 12.15pm on Saturday, June 15, when a vehicle overtook, passing very closely to the horse, say police. As a result, the horse threw the rider to the ground, resulting in an injury.
Police are also asking for the driver of a dark coloured BMW who kindly stopped and helped the injured rider to come forward and help with their investigation.
Anyone with any information, or the driver of the BMW who stopped and helped out, is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote reference number 1224 010 5806.
