GUIDED tours of a Grade two listed church in Skipton will be offered on Saturday, September 14, along with access to fascinating parish archives.
The Parish of St Stephen will host the events from 10am to 4pm, as part of the National Trust's nationwide Heritage Open Days initiative.
Tours of St Stephen's Church will take in the building's Gothic Revival architecture, including designs by Augustus Pugin.
The church, which is steeped in the history of the Tempest family of Broughton Hall, also contains artworks associated with the Catholic faith.
The Parish of St Stephen's archives, located in the Parish Centre, tell the history of St Stephen's Parish, St Monica's Convent, and more.
Visitors will be able to gain insights into the Catholic families who were instrumental in building the Parish of St Stephen's, and who played a role in Skipton's development as a market town.
Entry to St Stephen's Church and to the Parish Centre is free.
Refreshments will be available in the Parish Centre from 11am to 3pm.
There is car parking available on site, disabled access to St Stephen's Church and to the Parish Centre, and toilets including accessible toilets.
