A PROPOSAL to extend an existing warehouse unit at Snaygill Industrial Estate in Skipton has been lodged with North Yorkshire Council.
Proposed is the extension to knitting wool supplier, King Cole Ltd, Merrie Mills to allow for additional storage and workshop space. The extension, if approved, will be 1200m2, and will include associated turning areas and loading bays.
Documents with the application state: "This extension allows the existing unit to increase its functional space and operational efficiency."
Other applications recently validated by North Yorkshire Council include: Single storey extension to east gable and addition of solar panels to west roof slope of dwelling at Nutgill Farm, Nutgill Lane, Ingleton; Re-use and extension of modern barn to create dwelling house, including use of cart shed for storage and use of shippon (with associated works) to form plant room and store at Town Head Farm, Henbusk Lane, Newby Clapham; Conversion of two one-bedroom houses into two commercial units and one residential flat above, at 2 Holme Lane, Cross Hills; Replacement of four existing timber casement windows on south elevation of property with timber framed windows, at 9 Kirkgate, Settle; remove one Willow tree at 9 Cross Bank, Skipton; three-storey extension to existing house at 8 Stirtonber, Skipton; Work to trees at 11 Aireville Grange, Skipton.
