DETAILED plans have been submitted to build a new home off Fernbank Avenue, Barnoldswick.

Permission in principle was given by Pendle Council in July, and now the applicant is back with a technical details plan.

Documents with the application describe the site as an 'undeveloped parcel of agricultural land'. To the west is an existing agricultural building, beyond which is a detached house and business premises, owned by the applicant, Mr A Haythornthwaite.

Proposed is a 'modest, one bedroom bungalow with integral car port, off-street parking, and associated curtilage'. Access will be off the adjacent track, which is owned by the applicant, and linking in to Fernbank Avenue.

Other applications received in the West Craven area by Pendle Council are: Erection of an agricultural storage, lambing and workshop building at Thornton Hall Farm, Skipton Road, Barnoldswick; works to trees subject to Tree Preservation Order at 1 Hayfield View, Earby Road, Salterforth; erection of a single storey rear extension with balcony over at 10 Salterforth Road, Earby; application for listed building consent: Conversion of basement into two bedrooms and shower room at Syke Cottage, Holly View, Foster Road, Barnoldswick.
