A care home resident who served in the Second World War has celebrated reaching 100 years of age.
Frank England was joined by members of his family on Friday, September 6, to celebrate his centenary at the Mill House care home, off Sackville Street in Skipton.
Mr England has lived at the Anchor residence for the past year.
At the party, he enjoyed a glass of champagne while being serenaded by the All Together Trinity Choir.
After celebrating reaching 100, Frank said he much preferred to look forward than dwell on the past.
Sharleen Polley, home manager at the Mill House, said: "Frank is an incredible man for his age.
"He spends hours in his room making various items out of wood.
"He has made the home some fantastic silhouettes of soldiers for Remembrance Sunday.
"He has so many amazing tales to tell."
Mr England has lived in Anchor care homes for four years.
He was among the first to move into the Mill House when it officially opened in August 2023.
The Mill House, which has 102 beds, won Knight Frank's National Luxury Care Home of the Year Award for 2024.
