A kite flyer at Bolton Abbey
There will be plenty of activity in the skies above Bolton Abbey this weekend.
For the village is staging its annual kite festival in the Sandholme Car Park on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Several kite-making workshops have been held in the run-up to the event and members of the public are invited to bring along their own kites to fly alongside the experts.
Kitemaster will be Alan Poxon, from Gargrave.
