The Royal Air Force Presentation Team will visit Skipton as part of its UK tour to demonstrate the vital role the RAF plays in providing security and acting as a force for good around the world.

The presentation will illustrate the roles, equipment and personnel of today’s RAF.

Wing Commander Jason Appleton, leader of the team, said: “These events are a great opportunity for the local community to learn more about what the RAF do and how we have built an enviable reputation around the world.

“We always enjoy meeting local communities and these events offer a platform for the public to meet our dedicated and professional team and to ask any questions that they may have.”

The event, which will take place at Skipton Girls’ High School on Tuesday October 20, is open to everyone and, in particular, anyone who sees the RAF as a potential career opportunity.

The evening starts with a drinks reception at 7pm followed by a 40-minute presentation. It will conclude with refreshments and an opportunity to meet RAF personnel in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Entry is free. Anyone wishing to attend should register at civicform.raf.mod.uk or call 01494 497742.
