On Saturday Cononley swimmer Niki Chatburn won gold in the 1500 metres freestyle at the North East Region Swimming Championships.
Representing the the City of Bradford National Potential Squad at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. Niki had to swim 60 lengths which she completed in a lifetime’s best of 18 minutes 51.97 seconds.
Niki has shown her ability to hold a pace for the full race. She now has the full set of medals after working her way from bronze last year, through silver in June to gold this time. Niki went on to swim pbs in the 800m, 400m, 200m and finally finished the weekend off with a 100m freestyle.
