Ambulance bosses are reviewing cover at Grassington following an increase in demand.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said this week that a review of the service was at an advanced stage.
Keith Prior, director of A&E operations, said: “Across Yorkshire, the trust has seen an increase in the number of incidents requiring an emergency ambulance response and Grassington is mirroring this upward trend.
“Historically, the resource arrangements in Grassington have provided adequate ambulance provision. However, in view of the increased demand in this area, we are at an advanced stage of reviewing the ambulance cover which will ultimately improve services for patients.
“Our priority is to respond to all 999 calls as quickly as possible and we would like to reassure members of the public that, as part of our routine daily management, we have the flexibility to move resources around the Yorkshire region into areas which may be experiencing high demand.”
