Chic Hair Studio in Skipton has been named the Craven Herald’s hairdressing salon of the year.

The Coach Street salon was voted top by readers in the Herald’s annual competition.

Owner Claire Marsden said she was delighted the business had been chosen and paid tribute to her team.

“It’s really nice to think that our loyal customers have shown their support and voted for us,” she said.

The salon will have been open for four years at Christmas.

Gemma Aldersley, Craven Herald advertising manager, said: “We had a great response to our competition and I’m delighted that Chic was chosen by our readers. Claire and her staff clearly deserve the title of Craven Herald Hairdresser of the Year.”
