A group that makes contemporary dance films will stage a show to raise cash for a charity.
Sparkle Dance Films is run by three graduates of Roehampton University, in London, including Catrina Farnell, 23, of Steeton.
She said: “It’s more of a hobby than anything else – we don’t earn any money from it. We are holding a charity event in aid of Cavendish Street-based Lilies of the Valley, where I volunteer once a week. It is an amazing charity and is in desperate need of funds.
“The show will be a mix of dance, drama, comedy and music. It will be performed by lovely artistes who have offered their services for free.”
The Sparkle Charity Showcase will take place at Bradford’s Alhambra Studio Theatre, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday January 22.
Catrina said Lilies of the Valley mainly helped local mothers, giving them a place to socialise and enjoy refreshments as well as financial advice and, where necessary, English language teaching.
For show tickets, contact the Alhambra box office on 01274 432000 or go online to bradford-theatres.co.uk.
