ENGLAND are being heavily backed to win the 2022 World Cup, following the Three Lions dazzling display against Spain last night.
Qatar may seem a long way away, but money is flooding in on England to bring football home already, at a best price of 16/1.
However, some bookmakers are taking no chances on England whatsoever, and have cut them to the same price as last night’s opponents Spain (9/1).
In total, 83% of all bets since last night’s victory have been placed on England, with money continuing to pour in for the Three Lions.
Brazil, France and Germany are joint-favourites at 7/1 best price, with Spain just behind at 9/1.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Those who thought that it was no longer coming in home were mistaken - England's victory in Seville has fans dreaming again that the wait for a major trophy could be coming to an end.
“Southgate's men came so close to a World Cup final this summer, and fans' optimism that they will be even better by 2022 is palpable.”
