The BBC have revealed the first look at the Death in Paradise Christmas special for 2021.

This will be the first feature-length episode of the show at 90 minutes long, and will air at some point in December according to the show's official Twitter account.

Danny John-Jules is also set to return as Officer Dwayne Myers, who last appeared on the show in 2018.

As is the case in every episode there will be a number of guest stars including Matthew Baynton, Juliet Stevenson, Anthony Calf, Jocelyn Jee Esien, Stanley Townsend, Elizabeth Tan, Tessa Bonham Jones and Tariq Jordan.

The synopsis for the episode reads: "It’s Christmas time on Saint Marie and Neville is preparing to head to Manchester to spend the holiday with his family. But his plans are abruptly changed when a billionaire shipping magnate dies in mysterious circumstances.

"Things only get stranger when a minicab driver in London receives a Christmas card with an ominous message inside that turns the entire case on its head. For Neville and the team, will this be a case they can crack together?"

Death in Paradise has been airing since 2011, and broadcast its 10th series in January 2021, with an 11th to follow the Christmas special in January 2022.
