OPEN days to view plans for an eco-house in Langcliffe are continuing until Sunday.
People interested in the proposal to build a subterranean house, with subterranean garage in the garden of The Bowerley, are being invited to call in to see them at any time between 1pm and 7pm daily until at least Sunday evening, May 19.
The application, which has yet to be determined by Craven District Council, is a resubmission of a refused proposal that was rejected under delegated authority by council planning officers.
Applicant Peter Wales said he hoped this time the application would be brought to the planning committee following a lot of local interest, most of which was sympathetic towards the design.
The site is on an existing area of garden to the south west of The Bowerley and would be accessed via the existing highway drop kerb and private driveway.
The house is designed as subterranean with the only visible aspects being glazing/doors to the south west elevation which overlooks the Ribble Valley and the Settle-Carlisle railway line.
A glazed lantern light will form a feature on top of the house at the existing ground level.
Mr Wales has made a 1:100 scale model which people can go and look at as well as view the site.
