ELEVEN-year-old Poppy Reardon will be centre of attention at this year’s Skipton Gala which takes place on Saturday in Aireville Park.
Poppy will lead the procession which starts in Westmoreland Street at 1pm. The procession will make its way throught the town to the gala field, at Aireville Park, where Poppy will be crowned at 2.30pm.
One of this year’s supporters is newly opened Discount Sports, in Rope Walk, which is run by Tony and Ruth Eidsforth.
“We are thrilled to be able to support this great event and are looking forward to it,” said Ruth.
A whole host of events and entertainment for all the family will take place in the park.
For over a century Skipton Gala has been supporting the local community by raising money for organisations and charities in and around Skipton and is always held on the second Saturday in June
