A CHILD has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary after being knocked down by a car in Skipton.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they had been called out at 4.16pm yesterday to The Bailey and sent two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.
The boy was taken to hospital.
There is no further information about his condition.
A woman from Addingham who came across the incident is understood to have stayed with the child until emergency services arrived.
The road was temporarily closed and inquiries are continuing.
