A COPPER coin globe Tour de France sculpture will be unveiled on Saturday in Haworth Park.
Craig Dyson has spent several months grafting to get the artwork finished in time for the Grand Depart passing through the village.
He collected thousands of two-pence coins from local people and has worked through the night and weekends to weld them together to create the sphere.
He applied for a grant from Welcome to Yorkshire to make the sculpture as an official Tour de France art project. When that was unsuccessful he started an internet appeal for community funding, as well as asking local people to donate more than 10,000 two-pence coins.
The sculpture will be unveiled on Saturday at noon.
