THIS week's nostalgia photograph shows three very brave men.
They are police officer George Cyril Launders (centre), Tom Baines (left), owner of Baines' grocers shop, and Sidney Wain (right), who all lived in the Broughton Road area of Skipton.
In December, 1936, they risked their lives to save a pony struck in floods down Ings Lane.
The trio crawled along the wall top to reach the pony and had their efforts rewarded with a silver medal and certificate from the RSPCA.
The picture has been loaned by Mr Launders' daughter, Jean Straker.
