THESE fresh-faced young guitarists - later labelled 'Skipton's answer to the The Beatles' - were The Pezants, pictured here playing a local dance in about 1960 or '61. On the left foreground is well-known local vocalist Renato Bonaccorsi, who is still singing professionally today. Renato, of Embsay, submitted the picture, and is playing one of the very first Fender Precision bass guitars brought into the UK. Also in The Pezants, who formed at Ermysted's Grammar School, were, from left, Colin 'Big Col' Easterby, Mick Huck, John Peel, and just about visible on drums, Trevor Jones.
