SIR - I have been lucky enough once again to be a member of the cast (aged 13 to 81) for the latest production of Tunstill's Men which we were privileged to stage at Grassington Festival.
Please may I use your pages not only to thank the people of Grassington, who have regularly been wonderfully generous and supportive to us, but also to offer congratulations to Skipton Academy.
This year's youngsters in the cast I thought collectively the best yet. They enriched the performances by their cheerfulness, commitment and talents (particularly musically).
They were also warmly welcoming to me personally, as a relative stranger, from Nottingham.
As for the older cast members, and 'back room team', once again, they did Skipton Academy proud.
Not only does this show contribute richly to the national act of memory, in this centenary year, but it also offered Skipton Academy students the chance to excel - which they did 'in shedloads'.
Well done, and thankyou Skipton Academy.
