WATCHING television news on Sunday evening I realised that the easing of lockdown was to begin on Monday, June 1.
So I can only assume that when I was there for a couple of hours on Saturday, May 30 (essential work not leisure) the very large amount of people I saw there were just a mirage caused by the hot weather.
If it wasn’t a mirage and these people had got the easing date wrong and were actually there then they must all be very rich people.
The reason I assume this is that if they were all in family groups from the same household they would all own property with a minimum of ten bedrooms. Looking at a lot of flash cars that were tearing about everywhere, perhaps they were all wealthy and it was a millionaires' day trip to the Dales.
