I MOVED to Skipton, just two months ago.
So for the first time I have had experience of 'magnetic fishermen', usually under Gallows Bridge.
They seem friendly enough, but I wonder what your readers, and canal / boat users make of this hobby?
I hope that in the future they are able to find some use for the discarded metal objects that they leave, and that it doesn't just lay, discarded till it finds its own way back into the canal?
I took these enclosed photos on the morning of Friday, September 18.
Does the Canal and River Trust collect it all in?
Do any local metal work artists / sculptors want the remnants to recycle?
I would be interested in any of your readers' views, especially if they indeed, are magnetic fishermen.
