SUE Ryder Manorlands Hospice has taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s annual garden party, which was due to take place in the hospice grounds on Sunday July 10.
Although wider Covid-19 restrictions have ended in England, as a hospice we have to follow infection prevention control (IPC) guidelines for care services like ours, which have not changed.
With visiting to our hospice continuing to be by appointment only, we felt cancelling our Annual Garden Party was the right thing to do and we're sorry for any disappointment this might cause.
Although we're not able to host our garden party this summer, we have a range of other fundraising events taking place throughout the year. We hope that individuals, friends and families will choose to join us for one of these, which will raise vital funds to support our expert and compassionate palliative care.
