THANK you for your coverage of the proposed closure of Barclays' Skipton Branch closure (Barlclays to close its Skipton branch, Craven Herald, December 7) and your editorial.
The branch is always busy as I stated in your article. The Barclays spokesperson totally misses the point in saying they plan to open a cashless banking site in due course. We need cash availability and cash deposits possible as now.
This is so important for small businesses and local charities who often deal in cash. It is stated that there is the post office for this but they have restrictions on such transactions.
It is vital that we all campaign to keep Barclays open in Skipton.
