Skipton 5 Harrogate Pythons 32
The Pythons had to win this final encounter of the season at Sandylands to stay up, whilst Skipton had nothing to play for.
This was reflected in the play with the Pythons running out easy winners after dominating the first half.
Skipton played their best rugby after the break with the forwards and backs linking well.
Their improved play resulted in a well-deserved try for utility forward Ben Hall.
This has been a season Skipton will want to forget, but the young side are prepared to re-group.
Next season in Division Four they will be hoping that the experience they have gained this year will enable them to bounce back under the guidance of new coach Mark Walton.
