There were goals galore as Embsay and Earby Town fought out a dramatic Blue Fin Craven Challenge Cup.

Oldroyd opened the visitors account with the first goal of his hat-trick before Matt Hawkins levelled matters for Embsay.

Earby took the lead early in the second half through Oldroyd and extended it with anAdam Hartley goal but were caught on the break when Dave Greenwood reduced the arrears.

Oldroyd appeared to have won the game for the visitors when he completed his treble but Embsay staged a grandstand finish to make it 4-4 with goals by Greenwood and skipper James Mole.

Extra time produced no further goals so the match went to penalties. There were some excellent spot kicks with both goalkeepers scoring. With the score 11-11, Earby hit the post before Mole netted the winner to end an enthralling game.

Cononley Sports, who are having a mixed season, overcame their visitors Barnoldswick Town (EL) with a late Reece Fowler goal to secure a 3-2 win to set up a home tie against Skipton LMS.

Sports were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Fowler and a Stephen Pearson penalty but Town fought back to level matters before the late winner.

Settle United won the North Craven derby against Bentham 3-1. After a uneventful first half where Bentham had the majority of play, the introduction of Shaun Airey at half-time gave Settle the upper hand.

He opened the scoring with a header from a free kick and Danny Bathers increased the lead when his scuffed shot crept home. Airey's second header made the game safe although Bentham did score a consolation goal through Jordan Armstrong.

In a repeat of last season’s tie, Grassington United were again comfortable winners at Horton who play in the bottom division.

However Horton had the satisfaction of scoring three second-half goals in a 8-3 defeat. Ian Craven, Tarek Issa and Paul Wright each scored twice with further goals from Jeremy Gee and Kyle Telford. The pick was Paul Wright’s excellent volley.

Rolls had a comfortable 7-1 home win over Carleton Sports while Hellifield Sports were unable to raise a side against holders Rimington.

Due to a misunderstanding Waddington did not appear at Bradley. These matters were due to be discussed at last night’s executive meeting.

In the Norman Pratt Trophy, Earby Town and Cononley replayed their abandoned match from last month. Earby took an early lead with a Karl Farrell strike and were in control of the game but Cononley, who have not won in the league, netted six times after the break throughCraig Ebbrell (2) Mick Beilby, Josh Brown, Jason Shaw and Sam Birks to run out 6-01 winners.

Ingleton had a comfortable 6-2 win against Skipton LMS while Skipton Town were defeated 5-0 at home by Grindleton while Waddington won 2-0 at Pendle Renegades 2-0.
