CROSS Hills, who won 4-1 at home to Wilsden Athletic, extended their lead to three points at the top of the Mastab's Craven League Premier Division as Rolls could only draw 1-1 at home to Grassington United.

Cross Hills took the lead via Chris Rushton, who despatched a Jimmy Anson cross but Martyn Dalby levelled and Jody Procter's acrobatic mishit put Cowling 2-1 ahead before Anson's sweetly-struck shot made it 2-2 before the break.

Dalby's audacious second goal gave Cowling the edge at 3-2 but man of the match Rushton made it 3-3 with another sweet strike from a tight angle, and Shaun Wood got the winner for Hills in a great derby. Jack Forbes-Sedgwick was Cowling’s man of the match.

Three own goals helped Skipton Town Reserves to a 5-3 win at home to Trawden Celtic Reserves, Ross Greenwood and Darren hey making up the tally, while Sutton Reserves were denied the chance of a rare draw by a late Pendle Renegades Reserves goal in a 3-1 defeat.

Cain Hudson's goal had halved Pendle's lead, Shaun Bell getting Sutton's man of the match award.
