SKIPTON LMS are making the Premier Division title race interesting in the Mastab's Craven League.

A week on from their first league defeat of the season (4-1 at home to Settle United), they lost by the same margin at home to Trawden Celtic.

Oliver Hunter got LMS' only goal and Paul Wilkin was man of the match but third-placed LMS will still overtake Cross Hills and Rolls for the crown if they win their games in hand.

Rolls won 4-3 at Settle United to dent the hosts' hopes, with John Beckwith and substitute and man of the match David Worthington on target for Settle and fellow gong winner Paul Oldroyd and a Matthew Baines own goal being among those netting for Rolls.

Leaders Cross Hills won 3-0 at fifth-placed Grassington United, with Phillip Rishton leading the way for the victors.

Cowling, meanwhile, are in danger of dropping out of the top flight after a 5-3 defeat at Earby Town meant that they swapped places with their hosts, whose rise to tenth put them one position above a relegation spot.

Thabani Songo was best for Cowling, while Cononley Sports, who are immediately above Earby, lost 5-1 at home to Grindleton, despite the efforts of Craig Gregory.

Ingrow & Worth Valley, whose main focus is on avoiding relegation from Division One, sprung a major knockout surprise.

The eighth-placed club, who could be in a demotion berth if Bingley Town and Bradley win their games in hand, triumphed 1-0 at title favourites Silsden Whitestar in a Division One Cup quarter-final.

Chris Gaskell's hat-trick inspired Rolls Reserves to a 5-4 victory over second-placed Gargrave in Division One, double man of the match winner Gareth Turner also netting, while Ben Brown (2), Gary Lofthouse and substitute Jonathan Chapman replied.

Zachary Conway was on target for Bradley, with Jordan Blackburn being man of the match in their 2-1 loss at Pendle Renegades, while Grassington United Reserves triumphed 4-3 at Grindleton Reserves in Division Two thanks to Neil Breckon, Ben Gannon, Ryan Hawkins and Graham Hunn, with Alex Trevors taking both best player awards.

Leaders Sporting Keighley opened up a four-point gap after a 4-0 home victory over basement boys Sutton, and missed a penalty into the bargain against visitors who battled hard throughout, while Oxenhope Recreation romped home 5-0 against seventh-placed Settle United Reserves, for whom Luke Hepton was man of the match.

Division Three front-runners Carleton had six different scorers in their 6-1 home victory over Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves in Division Three, with the marksmen being Joshua Banks, Robert Bradley, Stuart Gee, Gareth Lord, Ben Teal and substitute Leon Binney, while Bradley Reserves lost 7-0 at home to Skipton Town Reserves, with Chris Hogg being the losers' man of the match as Naq Hussain (2), John Bunnett, Shane Dwyer and substitute Tim McIntyre were among those on target for the winners as Antony Dean took both awards.

Jonathan Rampling won the gong for Cross Hills Reserves in their 3-0 home setback against Pendle Renegades Reserves.
