WHARFEDALE RUFC representatives attended Keighley Cougars’ home match against Newcastle Thunder on Sunday to show their support for the Danny Jones Fund.
Wharfedale donated a shirt, have promoted events relating to the fund and are also looking to secure a Barbarians top for auction at the Cougars v Wales match on October 25.
Cougars also had a strong representation of ex-players in the Executive Suite on Sunday.
At an auction in aid of the Danny Jones Fund after the match, they successfully bid for a limited edition framed print of an outstanding painting that David Ingham has produced of the late Cougars star.
They bid collectively and then promptly donated the print back to the club so it could be erected there in memory of Jones.
Ingham has produced a limited edition of 125 prints.
Meanwhile, Cougars are reminding supporters there is a Big Stadium Sleepover at Cougar Park on Saturday (August 1) from 6pm in aid of the Living Lights Charity and the Danny Jones Fund.
Chairman Gary Fawcett said: “Everyone is welcome and there will be live bands, stalls, bars and food there on the day. Please come down and raise some money, whilst having fun, for these two worthy causes!”
