SUTTON travelled to Denholme on Saturday in Division One of the Mewies Craven Cricket League and were put firmly in their place by a rampant home side, who chased down a small total in just 10 overs.

Craig Thornton (41) helped Sutton limp to 100 all out before the hosts cruised home by eight wickets, with Matt Wear striking 63 not out from 34 balls.

Embsay were crushed by 10 wickets at home to Haworth. Skipper Phil Binner scored 25 but their 110 all out was never going to be enough.

In Division Two, Cowling travelled to former leaders Airedale and skittled them for just 69, with Josh Gill (5-29) and Shahid Hassan (3-2) running riot. Mohammed Shah Usman (29no) guided the visitors home.

Cononley recorded a much-needed victory at Sandy Lane though. Nathan Parker (38) and Matt Brooke (26no) got them to 154-7. Lewie Fitton (5-15) ensured the hosts were all out for only 89.

Division Three leaders Skipton CI suffered the agony of a one-run defeat at Hepworth & Idle II. The home side scored 161 and had the visitors 116-9 before Danyal Iqbal (32) and Sefal Allam (19no) got them so close.

Kev Pollard made a magnificent 104 as Thornton made 198-5. It was not enough though, as they lost by 29 runs to Barrowford's second XI.

Embsay II travelled to Haworth II and were dismissed for 104 with Rob Bateman and Neville Allen both making 17. Caspar Bean took 3-42 but the hosts scrambled home by three wickets.

Bradley blasted 269-6 at Sutton II. Frank Watkinson (74) and David Hunt (73no) were the main stays of the innings with George Blackwell taking 5-70. Sutton slumped to 97-9 in reply with Harry McEnearney (5-9) doing the damage.

Silsden continue in top spot of Division Four, four points clear after a scintillating 162-run victory at Cononley II. They blasted a mammoth 323-1 with Tom Berry hitting a magnificent 169no and Rob Jones a superb 105no.

The hosts made a spirited 161, led by Peter Hatton (48no), as Max Worsencroft (3-32) and Joe Sugden (3-56) took the bowling honours.

Cowling II could only manage 89 at home to Airedale II despite skipper Steve Dalby's 30. Qamar Zaman took 5-23 as the visitors staggered home by three wickets.

Gargrave II were hammered by 232 runs at home to Foulridge, dismissed for a paltry 54 chasing a mammoth total of 286-7.

Youngster Cody Hird (4-21) and Josh Banks (3-13) were both in the wickets for Glusburn II against Ingrow II. They cantered home by six wickets, chasing 95 to win, with Michael Egan (31) leading the way.

Darren Pighills (4-15 and 30no) was the star of Skipton CI II three-wicket home victory. Visitors Denholme II only made a paltry 83 but the host's batting order collapsed and only a big eighth-wicket partnership saw them home.

Under 15 Lily Bell (56) helped Bradley II to 206-7. Visitors Long Lee II could only manage 172, with David Ryan claiming 4-51 and Bell 2-14.
