SKIPTON Swimming Club teammates Ned Sharp and Archie Dunne were invited to represent their home county as Yorkshire were bidding to win their third consecutive County Team Championship crown.
Held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, it was a fast paced competitive event where once again, Yorkshire took the top spot amassing a staggering 497 points, at least 50 points ahead of Scotland West who came second and 70 points ahead of Devon in third place.
Ned competed in the 14/15 age group 100m freestyle event coming home in second with an impressive personal best of 52.12 seconds.
He raced the 50m butterfly leg of the 14/15 age fast paced medley relay with an easy first place for the team and also raced in the winning 6 x 50 mixed freestyle team at the close of the meet.
Archie took the touch in the 50m freestyle leg of the successful boys 14/15 age group medley team, ensuring an easy win for the four medley swimmers in a time of 1:45.72; three seconds faster than second place Scotland West.
Yorkshire were awarded a £1,000 cheque and trophy.
