CAMPION registered a big away win, despite being reduced to ten men, as they held on to second place in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One.

Alex Cusack had given them a fourth minute lead at Skegness Town but they were soon a man down when Declan Lambton was dismissed for an alleged handball outside the area, a decision which sparked much debate.

It took the Lillywhites a long while to break down the 10 men but Courtney Warren equalised on the hour mark. Instead of going on to make their numerical advantage count though, it was the visitors who rattled in another three goals.

Talent Ndlovu put Campion back in front before Graham Hall added ten minutes from time and Cusack made it 4-1 in the last minute.

At the bottom end of the Premier Division table, third-bottom Thackley could only manage a comeback 2-2 draw at basement outfit Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Sean Hunter put the Rail ahead on the quarter hour mark and Aaron Kitao doubled the home side’s advantage late in the first half.

Luke Robinson halved the deficit just eight minutes after the interval and player-manager Pat McGuire grabbed a 67th-minute equaliser to earn his side a point.

Liversedge remain two places higher than their local rivals after they were beaten 4-0 at home by Penistone Church, who climbed up to third after their win.

It took the visitors just nine minutes to break the deadlock through Sam Scrivens before Jordan Coduri doubled Penistone’s lead on the hour.

Sedge conceded a 71st minute penalty which Nathan Keightley tucked away, and Kieran Ryan wrapped up the scoring three minutes later.

There was also a defeat for Eccleshill United, who despite leading at half time, were 3-2 losers at Handsworth Parramore.

The Ambers took an early lead through Oliver Fearon but the Eagles hit back with goals from Khurram Shazad and Thomas Rose to go 2-1 up.

The home side levelled four minutes into the second half and Brad Nicholson scored the winner five minutes from time.
