THE two Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup finalists from last season, Wibsey and Campion, were both eliminated at the weekend in Round Two.

Wibsey visited Hunsworth at East Bierley, and despite a treble from Lee Smith, they were unable to overcome the resilience of their hosts, who had Dale Wright and Oliver Durkin on target with two goals each in their 4-3 victory.

Campion fared no better and were beaten at home 4-2 by Field Reserves. Aiden Day netted both Campion goals, while Liam Charles (2), Daniel Farrar and Callum Robinson all scored to put the visitors into the quarter finals.

The clash between the two Salts sides went the way of the senior squad, with Danny Cunnington scoring twice in their 2-0 win.

A young but talented Thackley side were too classy for their hosts Fairbank, as Adam Simpson (4), Redmond Lee (2), Tom Storey and Theo Cokewright netted in their 8-1 victory.

Calverley United may be pointless in the Yorkshire Amateur League, but they thrashed Tyersal Reserves 9-0 in the cup thanks to two goals each from Mathew Wilson, Ben Cook, Dale Spink, and Simon McQuiston, alongside one from Tom Hird.

Field's senior team had a comfortable home victory over Salts Reserves, as Lewis Forsythe, Dean Barton and Josh Milner, scored two goals apiece in a 6-0 victory.

Mohammed Qasim netted twice as Athletico beat Prospect 2-0, while the clash between Toller FC and TVR United went the way of the latter as Mohammed Ismeel scored a hat-trick in their 5-1 success.

After that set of results, the Bradford FA Quarter Final ties are: Field v TVR United, Salts v Thackley, Athletico v Hunsworth and Calverley United v Field Reserves, with all games to be played on November 17.

In the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division, Route One Rovers moved up into fourth place after beating PFC 6-1, with Amad Yaqoob scoring three times.

Littletown missed the opportunity to go level at the summit with leaders Golcar United and had to settle for a point after drawing 4-4 at Steeton Reserves.

Jack Morrell (2), Graham Holmes and Will Knight all scored for Steeton, while a Lee Ryan hat-trick and one from Joe Jagger saw Littletown earn a draw.

Elsewhere, Lower Hopton crashed out of the Heavy Woollen FA Cup when they lost 10-7 in an extraordinary game at Wyke Wanderers.

Ryburn United beat Northowram 5-1 and Ovenden West Riding accounted for Salem 4-2 to advance into the next round of the Halifax FA Cup.

Finally, Golcar United won 4-0 at Shepley, and Lepton Highlanders achieved a 7-1 victory at Huddersfield League side Cartworthmoor to progress into the next phase of the Huddersfield FA Cup.
