AN Olympic equine medallist will host a Heiniger equine clipping workshop in Settle.

Renowned Olympian and champion event rider Ian Stark OBE will conduct an equine clipping demonstration tomorrow at Settle Country Store.

Stark, who enjoyed an illustrious career spanning more than 20 years, has amassed a large collection of medals, notably at the World and European Equestrian Championships and the Olympic Games, winning six silver medals for Great Britain during his Olympic career.

He will host a live clipping demonstration which aims to provide helpful hints and tips on how to get the best clip for a horse and will include advice on clipper care and maintenance, oiling the hand piece and blades and applying the correct tension.

After the clipping demonstration, refreshments will be provided and there will also be the opportunity for attendees to ask Ian questions.

All attendees will receive a Heiniger Goody Bag, which will include a useful hints and tips guide on how to achieve the perfect clip for their horse.

The clipping workshop will take place from 6.30pm to 9pm at the store, which is located at Unit 11 Sowarth Field Industrial Estate.

There will be two presentations with soup and sandwiches with Ian clipping at 7.30pm.
