THE West Riding County Amateur Premier Division clash between Toller FC and Ovenden West Riding was abandoned after 85 minutes following a red card.

Toller were leading 8-2 and cruising on home soil, before a foul by an Ovenden player saw him dismissed.

Players and officials from both sides reacted to the incident and decided to take justice into their own hands, leaving the referee with no option but to abandon the game.

Meanwhile, the top three clubs in the division, Golcar United, Lower Hopton and Littletown, managed home wins to keep the title fight interesting.

Steeton Reserves came up against leaders Golcar and were on the end of a 9-0 hiding. United's star striker Buddy Cox netted four goals with Alex Hallam, Jonathon Newiss, Joshua Lang, Ryan John and Dave Conway also on the scoresheet.

Lower Hopton stay second after a narrow 2-1 victory over Bradford Olympic. Liam Royal and James Heeley hit the net for Hopton with Ryan Metcalfe replying for Olympic.

Littletown had newcomer Tristan Innes scoring on his debut in their 3-0 home victory over PFC, with Callum Wheatley and Joe Jagger also bagging a goal apiece.

TVR United moved up into fourth place with a 6-2 win against basement side Lepton Highlanders. Faisal Shabir’s double strike was complemented with goals from Haseeb Rehman, Zak Khan, Abid Khan and Danny Hussain.

Route One Rovers, who were losing 3-1 at half-time away to Ryburn United, managed to turn things around in the second half to end the game with a point from a 4-4 draw.

Shoaib Iqbal scored three, while Waheed Khan also netted for Rovers. Hosts Ryburn had Christian Silkstone scoring twice, while George Turner and Owen Wilkinson bagged a goal apiece.
