A HAT-TRICK by Zack Dale lifted Barnoldswick Town to a convincing 7-1 victory at Abbey Hey on Saturday.

Town dominated the game from the start as a Dale goal in the fourth minute put the visitors up 1-0.

James Crorken added a second four minutes later, but Abbey Hey pulled a goal back in the 12th minute when a Robert Swallow strike made it 2-1.

Unfazed, Barnoldswick went 3-1 up in the 25th minute when Jack Coop scored a great goal from open play, latching on to an excellent through ball and calmly taking it around the keeper to slot home.

Town led 3-1 at the break and just two minutes into the second half they got their fourth when Andrew Hill scored to make it 4-1.

Hill then set up Dale with a fine through ball and Town's top scorer made no mistake to take the score to 5-1.

Town continued their onslaught with two more goals in the next five minutes, the first being a header by Shaun Airey.

Dale then got his hat-trick finishing off a howler by the keeper in the 73rd minute.

There were no further scores as Town saw the game out, and the win put them at fourth place in the Premier Division of the Hallmark Security Football League.

Barnoldswick Town's East Lancashire League side drew 1-1 against Burnley Belvedere on Saturday, while Town's Reserve side lost 6-0 against Rishton.
