TEAMS across the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven and District Football League played second round ties of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy on Saturday.

A pair of hat-tricks saw Premier Division side Grassington United beat Division Two side Barnoldswick Barons 8-0 at Victory Park.

Reece Fowler and substitute Jan Ozdoba each scored a hat-trick for Grassington and Ollie White had a brace.

Another Division Three Barnoldswick team, Barlick Wanderers, also went down to defeat against a Premier Division side as Cowling beat them 6-4 at their Keighley Road ground.

Luke Barker's brace led the way for Cowling and Matthew Shirt scored a brace for the Wanderers.

Goals by Aaron Woodhouse and Will Thompson lifted Settle United to a close 2-1 home win against Division One side Bingley Town.

Top of the league Silsden Whitestar beat Division Two Salts 2nds 7-1, and the Silsden goals came from James Wilson (2), Josh Mcnulty, Josh Metcalfe, Samuel Moore, Oliver Peacock, Sam Stansfield and John Beckwith.

One of the upsets of the round came when Division One side Cononley Sports Club beat Premier Division Carleton Sports Club 7-4 at Ramper Park.

Carleton lost despite getting a hat-trick from Rob Wardley.

Another upset came when Division Three visitors iPlay FC beat Addingham's first team 5-4.

The final cup tie of the round saw Broomhill Reserves win a penalty shoot-out 4-2 at Bingley Town Reserves after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the Division Three Cup, William Bestwick's four goals helped Sutton beat Addingham Reserves 7-2.

In Premier Division action on Saturday, Skipton Town lost 5-2 to second in the league Trawden Celtic Juniors at Engine Shed Lane. Ryan Hoggarth and Andrew Nicholson scored the goals for Skipton.

Shazad Khan's strike was the only goal in a 1-0 victory for FC Sporting Keighley against Broomhill at Bronte Fields.

In Division One, leaders Crosshills drew 2-2 against Silsden Whitestar Reserves at Sutton Playing Fields.

Man of the match Edward Evans and Benjamin Osmond got the goals for Crosshills and Bradley Fay and Ryan Narey scored for Silsden.

Third place Settle United Reserves lost 2-1 to second in the table Trawden Celtic Juniors Reserves. Kris Attewell scored Settle's only goal.

It was good news for bottom of the division Bradley as they earned their first league win of the season with a 5-3 victory at Chatburn. Benjamin Ramsden's brace led the way for Bradley.

Division Two leaders Grassington United Reserves won 4-3 against AFC Barnoldswick at Victory Park.

Sean Clayton scored a hat-trick for Grassington and Wissam Badri had a brace for the Barlick side.

Luke Newton's hat-trick helped Crosshills Reserves beat Cononley Sports Club 2nds and Ben Barton's brace saw Settle United 3rds beat Otley Town 4-1.
