SILSDEN Whitestar remained on top of the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven and District Football League with a comfortable 4-1 win at Trawden Celtic Juniors on Saturday.

Silsden went 3-1 up at half-time against the Trawden side, who are second in the Premier Division, and sealed victory with a fourth goal in the second half.

John Beckwith scored a hat-trick and Josh McNulty was also on the scoresheet for Silsden, who extended their lead at the top by four points.

Jake Bancroft scored the only goal for Trawden.

A hat-trick by Nathan Taylforth saw third place Rolls beat Carleton Sports Club 3-1 at their Ramper Park ground.

Goals by Carleton's Jamie Poulter and Taylforth saw the two teams tied 1-1 at half-time, but two second half strikes by man of the match Taylforth saw the Barnoldswick side secure all three point.

Skipton Town got their first win in the league since early October when they won 1-0 at bottom of the division Broomhill.

A first half goal by man of the match Tom Bradford secured all three points for Skipton.

In Division One, home side Cononley Sports Club beat Trawden Celtic Juniors Reserves 8-4 at their Cross Hills Road ground.

Cononley got off to a good start and were 5-1 up at half-time, and both sides scored three goals in the second half. William Leeming was Cononley's man of the match.

Third placed Bingley Town won 3-1 at Marley against Silsden Whitestar Reserves, and four placed Rolls Reserves blasted Chatburn 7-1.

Daniel Conway scored four goals to lead the way for home side Rolls, who led 3-1 at the break. A brace by Lewis Routledge and a solo goal by Tom Bradshaw finished off the scoring for Rolls.

In Division Two, Barlick Wanderers beat Bingley Town Reserves 3-2 at Victory Park.

Daniel Holden scored a brace and Matthew Shirt were on the scoresheet for the Wanderers.

Seven second half goals and hat-trick by Lee Grice saw Salts 4ths shut out Crosshills Reserves 9-0 and overtake Barnoldswick Barons as leaders of Division Three.

The Barons went down to a 6-3 against Settle United 3rds at Settle High School.

Ben Barton's hat-trick led the way for Settle, who had to come back from 3-1 deficit at half-time. Matthew Blackwell scored a first half brace for Barnoldswick.

Otley Town were also in action on Saturday and got a 5-2 home victory against Cononley Sports Club 2nds.

George Beckwith scored the only two goals for Cononley and Matthew Entwistle had a brace for Otley.
