MACRON CUP

Barnoldswick Town 9

Eccleshall 4

A HAT-TRICK from Jack Coop guided Barnoldswick Town to an emphatic victory over Eccleshall in a goal-crazy third round Macron Cup clash on Tuesday night.

Coop opened the scoring for the hosts with a fourth-minute strike.

Eccleshall equalised 33 minutes later through Travis Capey, but two goals in a minute just before half-time restored Town’s lead, Zack Dale struck first with Coop then grabbing his second.

The goal scoring continued two minutes into the second half through Town’s Joshua Eastwood. But Eccleshall showed some spirit, with George Burslem making it 4-2.

Dale grabbed his second in the 55th minute and Lewis Morgan made it 6-2 two minutes later.

Capey completed his brace for Eccleshall to make it 6-3, Daniel Vincent’s own goal in the 63rd minute made it edgy for Town at 6-4.

But the hosts had other ideas, as Coop sealed his hat-trick, followed by a John Beckwith brace, as Town stormed through.
