BARNOLDSWICK Town beat the weather and 1874 Victoria to remain fourth in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division.

Town grabbed a 3-2 victory at the Silentnight Stadium, as their Tuesday night clash was the only one of three of the division's fixtures to go ahead as the wintry weather took its toll.

Town made a great start to their midweek home clash, taking the lead via Lewis Morgan's first-minute strike.

The hosts stormed to a commanding 3-0 lead with two goals in two minutes.

Striker Zack Dale continued his fine form, scoring in the 57th-minute. Jack Coop followed suit in the 59th minute.

But Northwich were not done and would set up a tense last few minutes.

Northwich's Scott McGowan made it 3-1 in the 71st minute and Callum Gardner reduced the arrears further with five minutes of normal time left.

But Town hung on to take three vital points, in front of a crowd of 115 hardy souls.

On Saturday, Barlick travel to fifth-placed Runcorn Town (2pm kick-off), followed by a further away league date, at 16th-placed Padiham, next Wednesday night (7.45pm).

Meanwhile, Town bolstered their ranks on Monday wit the signing of former Ramsbottom United midfielder/full-back Harry Foulds.
