BARNOLDSWICK Town had their third league fixture on the bounce called off on Tuesday.

Town were due to play Northwich Victoria, but the match was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Playing fixtures has been hard to come by for the club as last Tuesday's game against Padiham at Silentnight Stadium was called off due to a frozen pitch and snow forced Saturday's match at Burscough to be postponed.

Barnoldswick Town will hoping for better luck going forward, as the club have a busy schedule with some important games in February.

Next up is a key game against Hallmark Security League Premier Division rival Congleton Town.

Congleton are third in the league on 51 points with Town hot on their heels in fourth with 47 points.

The two teams played to a 0-0 stalemate at Congleton in January, a valuable point for the lads from Barlick.

This Saturday's match kicks off at 3pm.

Town then plays two cup clashes, starting with a Macron Cup quarter-final game against at 1874 Northwich at 8pm on Friday, February 15.

They then travel to Yorkshire to face Guiseley in semi-finals of the West Riding County Cup on Wednesday, February 19.

The match at Nethermoor will kick off at 7.45pm.
