WHARFEDALE 4ths used its speedy back line to score a comprehensive 71-15 win against Old Brodelians.
The final score did not reflect the effort and hard work both sides put in to get this game on.
Wharfedale were short of a front row, so Brods kindly loaned a man and continued to replace and rotate him as the game went on, which kept the scrummage competitive.
Brods had the heavier pack and were intent on trying to make this advantage have an effect, but Wharfedale had a youthful speedy back line and did not waste time exploiting the full width of the pitch at every opportunity.
Wharfedale scored steadily throughout the game, but Brods never gave up and their forward pressure gained them their scoring opportunities.
P O'Brian (3), M Tindall (3), M Tywang (2), J Chappell, C Brown and D Tweed all scored for Wharfedale, and Tindall converted eight.
