A SECOND half hat-trick by Conor Finlayson helped Burscough to a 5-0 home win against Barnoldswick Town on Saturday.
A free run into the box saw Terry Cummings slot in Burscough's first goal after five minutes.
James Crorken had a chance for Town but his free-kick was stopped by the Burscough keeper.
The home side then went 2-0 when a penalty was awarded after Town's handled in the box.
Chad Whyte made no mistake to put Burscough up 2-0 in the 25th minute.
Straight from the kick-off, Barnoldswick keeper Ryan Livesey made a good save, but Burscough forward Finlayson put the follow-up into an empty net.
Eleven minutes later, Livesey made another fine save but Finlayson was first to the ball and his finish put the home side up 4-0.
Finlayson completed his hat-trick three minutes later and Burscough ran out 5-0 winners.
The loss sees Town drop to seventh place in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division.
Barnoldswick Town's East Lancashire League side beat Whinney Hill 2-0 at Victory Park on Saturday, while the Town Reserves went down to a 3-1 defeat at Colne United Reserves.
