CRAVEN League leaders Silsden Whitestar brushed aside bottom side Broomhill in a 6-0 win at Bronte Fields on Saturday.

Jack Wrigglesworth and John Beckwith each scored a brace for Whitestar, and Sam Stansfield and James Hitch each scored a goal for the visitors.

Second placed Settle United continued to put the pressure on the leaders, as they beat third placed Trawden Celtic Juniors 5-2 at Giggleswick.

Aaron Woodhouse and William Beckwith scored two goals each for Settle and Tom Strickland was also on the scoresheet for the home side, who are five points behind Silsden Whitestar in the Premier Division with two games in hand.

Four goals from man of the match Oscar Canny saw fourth placed Grassington United secure a 5-0 home victory against Cowling at Town End Field. Jeremy Gee was also on the scoresheet for Grassington.

Goals by Luke Howsen and Fred Midgley helped Carleton Sports Club beat Skipton Town 2-0 in a derby at Engine Shed Lane.

Cross Hills, Bingley Town and Cononley Sports Club were all victorious in three Division One Cup matches on Saturday.

Goals by Mark Hoban, Jordan Hough and Sam Smith helped Cross Hills to a 3-0 win against Chatburn at Sutton Playing Fields.

A second half goal by substitute man of the match Michael Armitage saw Bingley Town edge Bradley 1-0 at Marley.

An extra time goal saw Cononley Sports Club secure a close 3-2 win against Rolls Reserves at Ghyll Lane.

William Leeming, Colin Throup and Josh Pendle all scored for Cononley while Barry Ellis got both goals for Rolls.

The top two teams in Division Two both had big away wins in the league on Saturday.

Division leaders Grassington United Reserves blanked Earby Town 11-0 at Earby Recreation Ground.

Man of the match Sean Clayton was on the scoresheet five times for Grassington, while Danny Pow scored a hat-trick, David Greenwood had a brace and Ollie White scored one for the visitors.

Aaron Topham also scored five goals for second placed AFC Barnoldswick as they won 10-1 against Salts 3rds at Salts FC.

Man of the match Callum Uttley also scored a hat-trick for the visitors, and there was one goal each for Callum Thomas and substitute Danny Wilmore.

In Division Three, second placed Barnoldswick Barons closed the gap on leaders Salts 4ths with a 4-1 win at Victory Park.

Matthew Blackwell hit a hat-trick for the Barons and Andy Bibby was also on the scoresheet for the home side.
