BAILDON 2nds pulled away in the last 20 minutes to beat Wharfedale 4ths 34-17.

Wharfedale travelled to Baildon with the unusual luxury of two spare men. Baildon had only 14, so Finlay Snowden stepped in to make up their team.

The game was a nip and tuck affair with each team matching each other in all areas, and scoring mirrored this as each score was equalised by the other.

An injury to Wharfedale 's front row led to the second half being uncontested scrums, but the game was still played with the same intensity and scoring opportunities limited.

Baildon only pulled away in the final 20 minutes with their bigger forwards using the downhill slope to their advantage.

Mick Greenwood and Sam Mason scored tries for Wharfedale while Andy Rhodes made one coversion.

Snowden scored for a second half try for Wharfedale, and he also scored a try for Baildon whilst on loan in the first half.
