THERE has been a feel good factor at Silsden AFC after winning three out of their last four games in the Hallmark Secuity League's Premier Division.

Going into the blank weekend, the Cobbydalers had beaten third placed Congleton Town, and although they lost against Litherland REMYCA the week before, they won two crucial away games at Squires Gate and leaders City of Liverpool before then.

Assistant manager Craig Bentham said: “There has been a good feel about the club recently after the results we've had.

“Obviously we were disappointed with the result against Litherland, but the lads worked hard and that showed not just in the result against Congleton but the performance as well.

“The lads showed real quality on the ball, putting their trust in themselves and each other to play out from the back and move the opposition around to create chances.”

“It was a shame we had a free weekend, but we have been putting in the work for the next home game against Padiham at Cobbydale Construction Stadium.”

After shipping five goals and losing their last two league games at Burscough and Squires Gate, Barnoldswick Town return home to Silentnight Stadium this Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways against Whitchurch Alport.

Both matches kick off at 3pm.
