AFTER last weekend's 3-1 loss to Whitchurch Alport became Barnoldswick Town's fifth defeat on the bounce, manager Matt Barnes is hoping the team can turn around their recent with a win at league leaders City of Liverpool this Saturday.

Barnes said: "Throughout the game on Saturday I felt we were in control, but missing a cutting edge in the final third.

"Ten minutes of switching off has cost us, which is not good enough and we have to start reaching the level we have produced most of the season.

"It's up to us all now to put this run of defeats to an end and start getting some more points.

"We are gradually getting back to decent numbers within the squad and hopefully more or less a full squad for this Saturday at City of Liverpool.

"Marc Young and Jake McNeaney are still out, but apart from those two everyone will be available.

"We will be working hard in training as well this week to try and put right the wrongs of recent weeks.

"It's my job to raise the moral back to how it has been most of the season."

Town were due to play Northwich Victoria at home on Tuesday night, but persistent rain meant the fixture at Silentnight Stadium had to be postponed.
