North Ribb Under-15s lose to strong Kirkby Lonsdale side
NORTH Ribblesdale Under-15s lost 34-12 to a strong and fluid Kirkby Lonsdale side on Sunday.
Both teams enjoyed moving the ball about in the backs, but Kirkby opened a 19-0 lead at half-time.
The second half started brighter, as scrum-half Leo Walkden pirouetted away from the ruck to score in the corner and Freddie Spensley, playing at centre, ran powerfully around the defence to dot down.
But Kirkby pressed home their advantage with two late tries to run out 34-12 winners.
Ribb's man of the match was full-back Ben Coultherd.
