BARNOLDSWICK Town's East Lancashire League side, who are the Morrison Cup holders, will face Craven League team AFC Barnoldswick in the semi-finals of this season's Morrison Cup in a Barlick derby at Silentnight Stadium this Saturday.

Mark Cordices' side AFC Barnoldswick have had a good season, currently lying second in the Craven League Division Two, scoring 87 goals in 12 games.

They have already beaten Rolls FC's first team in the Northern Plant Hire Trophy this season, so Daniel Kourkoulos' men will be looking to avoid a potential upset.

Town beat another Craven League side, Barnoldswick Barons, 3-1 in February.

Daniel Kourkoulos, manager of Barnoldswick Town's East Lancs team, said: "After a tough game against champions Mill Hill last weekend, the lads look to bounce back in the semi-final of the Morison Cup this Saturday.

"We know AFC Barnoldswick will be tough opponents as they are doing well in their league and other cup competitions.

"We are confident with the quality we have to claim our spot in the final.

"With our North West Counties first team having no fixture this Saturday, we expect a big crowd down at the Silentnight Beds Stadium.

"The semi-final is a 2pm kick-off, and all support is very much appreciated by everyone involved at Barnoldswick Town."
